I just finished reading *The Palace of Illusions*, and oh my God, this book took away my heart! I've seen the Mahabharata in various forms, but Chitra Banerjee's version made everything feel so vivid and real. I felt like I was right there with Draupadi, experiencing her journey from innocence to revenge. Her emotions were palpable—anger, cries, desperation, longing. This truly is the Draupadi version of the Mahabharata, a woman's perspective of the epic. Banerjee did an outstanding job.
