So many things in this show remind me of my childhood in London, growing up in a Jewish street filled with holocaust survivors, my father who travelled hours to work and back so we could live in a Jewish street, turning down offers of a bigger and more affluent house in a better part of the neighbourhood, my mother asking me whether I minded if she go to work, and many many other details. The show is true to form and brilliantly played. The only criticism i have is of the Rabbi and his wife, he would have had no peace from the community and been totally ostracised.
