As member of the LGBT Alphabet Society, I found this movie to represent the worst stereotypes of the community, played for laughs. It wasn’t funny, it relied mostly on over-the-top performances (that fell flat) of characters that turn them into caricatures. The pacing was poor, the plot was poor, and movies like this are a reason that LGBT cinema hasn’t taken off and mainstream viewers think indie cinema is pretentious.

Not accurate. Fun to watch, but Nobunaga's Suicide was misrepresented and poorly depicted and left out the presence of a Mori Ranmaru, who is widely admired in Japan. This was likely done because Mori Ranmaru was gay. Nobunaga's last words to him, as well as their relationship, was utterly absent.
