Well made and a good follow up to the original film - worth seeing. The only two things that I thought were out of place during wartime Britain with all the rationing and shortages of food were the egg breaking and flour throwing - after 4/5 years of war the children would have been very aware of the scarcity of food and horrified too waste any I would have thought!
A painful reminder of the way the Americans treated their own black people even during war!
But overall a nice gentle family film and if you haven't already - watch the original 'Railway Children' (1970) first.
