It was hard to watch. I turned it off several times. Why? Because it’s a true story, and it upset me , but I went back to it and finished it.
People really do live like this, suffer , fight, destroy every chance of getting ahead. Generations of abuse , drug addiction, babies out of wed-lock, bullying, and trying to have food to feed the family. history repeating itself. But there’s always hope, that someone breaks those lines, and gets out.
The acting was riveting, Glen Close is outstanding as usual. I think Ron Howard did a good job on this film. I say that because I can’t get this story off my mind. It still makes me cry.
