2142 Fitchy

First off, Europa is gorgeous. I love the destination. Stasis is a lot of fun and the new enemies (brig and wyvern) feel new and challenging. Eramis is now one of my favourite villains; very well acted and a good motivation. I enjoyed the return of Variks and The Stranger. Now the bad. This is not worth £40. For the same price on launch day of forsaken, we got over 5 crucible maps, 3 strikes and Gambit. For Beyond Light, 5 less raids, 4 less destinations and a shrunken loot pool to about 60 guns. Next season needs new maps and strikes. Eramis was a bit rushed, Eris and Drifter were heavily marketed and did nothing. Disappointed.

The past film and interference from Disney meant that JJ had to make a film that wasn't his own. You could see that some of it was rushed and it would have benefited from a part 2, allowing the setting and story to be flushed out more. There were some strange moments that worked but not perfectly and a few plot holes weighing it down. However, the conclusion to Star Wars in general reached into an epic battle between the dark side and the light, redemption of characters (all but one, Hux) and a sense of traditional Star Wars comradary and nostalgia. I don't know how you can 'hate' this film.
