A well designed continuation of the original movie, I enjoyed how they expanded on the shining but added their own twists. A movie I wanted to see in theaters but didn't have the chance. Enjoyed the theatrical cut, but loved the director's cut. Didn't feel like three hours when I finished. This movie may do what its predecessor did and over time be viewed as a classic. There was a ton of respect to the original and I give them credit for not adding a CG version of the original characters. I felt the actors did amazing filling those shoe. Couldn't give it a 4.5 but that is what I would rate it. If you liked the original you will deffinatly enjoy this one.
