Wow...I can't find the words to say how dreary and slow and bad this movie was. Joaqin Phoenix had one face - ONE FACE - a bored scowl. THE ENTIRE MOVIE.
The movie was hard to follow, any subtitles to explain things was gone before they could be read.
The movie was a dark rom/com, with no com.
That's 2 hours and change I can never get back.

VERY much a letdown, very mediocre plot, AI looked like robots from District 9. Muddy hard to follow plot, AI child with clouded Jedi-like powers. Silly premise, a waste of my time and money. Lousy acting by Denzel's son, too.

That it's a local story makes it even juicier. Superb acting, I don't care that some facts are altered and the time frame is compartmentailized.
We all followed the story in Newsday...lurid, amazing. You could not look away.
Nice to see the bad guys get caught now and then.
