4/5 stars. No spoilers
This is not a thriller about a plane crash, though it is about survivors, in a deeper sense - it’s philosophical.
Gripes about why the plane crashed or how accurate the depictions of the wolves are completely miss the point. Those “issues” are plot devices to tell the real story.
It’s about suffering and the will to live. What is the point of suffering, what’s the point of living? The movie’s heavy, and thought provoking. We see the various characters battling their inner selves. They all have different motivations and meet different ends.
It’s a tragic story, but not for the reasons you think. It’s also a story of triumph, but again not for the reasons you think.
Must watch, more importantly, must think!
