It seems that a lot of the negative reviews on this game are either due to individuals being poorly informed with incorrect statements or due to the poor launch. You do not have to have no life to play this game and enjoy it. I sometimes only have time for a few hours a week to put into the game. This game is great for both the casual gamer like myself and for the more hardcore players. In light of the crown scrolls (experience boost) that one review mentioned as being sold down their throat is odd considering the fact that they just hand them out. I have like 7 in my inventory that I never bought and the game just game to me for just logging in...
As someone who has played at both launch and currently I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the developers at Zenimax have gone above and beyond to present an MMORPG that could easily be considered as the best on the market currently. There are few competitors that could match the content this game has to offer. Some of these competitors include WoW, FFXIV, GW2, BDO, LOTRO and many more. In my personal opinion ESO is the best MMORPG on the market, however, others may disagree.
ESO has great graphics, the best lore in any MMO that I have played, in my opinion, and a sandbox like character development system you can literally make any sort of character you could possibly think of. There is a wide variety of activities you can do at end game such as Vet Dungeons, Trials, Vet Maelstrom, and a great community to share these experiences with. ESO’s base game can be found for less than 20$ and it offers a ton of content itself. You do not need to purchase the subscription however I highly suggest you do as it will allow you to embark on all of the DLC content with the exception of the latest chapter that came out. With the subscription you get experience and gold boosts, crowns that you can use to furnish or purchase your own player house, purchase mounts and many more. You also get an unlimited crafting bag which is awesome if you want to craft your own gear and or make a lot of gold.
All in all this game is fantastic and definitely worth checking out. Especially for those who like the elder scrolls lore from the previous single player games, have previously played an MMO and are looking for a new one, or are completely new to the genre and looking for a fun and unique adventure.
