I went to see Ophelia in November 2018 as part of the British Film Festival in Australia. The large audience loved the film and strong applause accompanied the credits. The movie is beautiful in so many ways and captures the attention of the viewer - there was strong laughter, followed by smiles of delight, followed by the silence that comes through being moved emotionally. This is a must see movie with a star-studded cast. The story, although well known from Shakespeare's Hamlet, brings alive the ancient but always relevant tension between love, power and vengeance. Although the movie is a tragedy, the viewer will walk away feeling satisfied, inspired and challenged by this movie. Get thee to the cinema and watch this movie!
