What a delightful gem of a stand-alone book! I, too wish I’d live in a magical yesteryears world where libraries are alive with books talking and whispering to one another.
Elisabeth was a well developed and likeable character, a “true child of the Great Libraries”. She’s not a headstrong heroine but believable in her struggles and doubts, yet ready to pick up a sword and stand up for truth, justice and her beloved books. Loved every page of it!
