First thing first: I have never watched the movie It's just that seeing that the rating is either one star or five stars on this Google page, I know that this movie is one of those ït's so bad, it's good" movies.

I get this clear from the start, I only watch it because of its choise of actors and actresses. When I found out it's a reboot by Sony, I lower my expectations, and surprise surprise, it didn't disappoint me. By that I mean of course the film isn't good. It's just another Sony's quick cash grab. The whole story is predictable; the guns and gadgets weren't as interestingly named, made, and used as it was in the '97 original; that small alien guy character wasn't necessary --or he could be necessary/interesting but the writers seem to not putting too much effort on his existence--; but the worst part is the wHOLE third act is hopeless. That part was really bad it's disappointing. Despite all that, in fairness the actors and actresses were performed as good as they could. And that small easter egg of J and K in a painting is a bit nice
