This movie was entertaining and heart warming I felt like I was really there feeling the second hand embarrassment that that Ricki felt reconnecting with her family. [SPOLIERS]:
One of the most interesting themes is how she deflected responsibility for her actions and tend to blame it on Maureen, instead of owning up to her mistakes she opted to run away. At the end, we see that Maureen was never the enemy and the enemy in our story might just be the way we perceive the people around us. It tells us that sometimes the enemy is ourselves and if we choose to take the easy road, especially when it comes to healing then we aren't going to ever really heal. Overall, a good movie cliche and predictable, but nevertheless a good message and amazing acting that made me feel a rollercoaster of emotions. 5/5
