9.75/10 (0.25 taken off because it ended) I've died and reached paradise after watching this. This drama is everything I'd ever wanted to watch. The plot, the cinematography, the symbolism (which alone deserves 5/5), the dialogues, the use of colour and sound, and even the weather and nature to express an emotion was all done so beautifully. The 5 core characters were so special and real and all their stories so personal, I'm having withdrawal symptoms from missing them so much. Also the fact that even if it's a fictional story, the arc of it is based on actual history adds such emotional weight when you watch it. The chemistry of ALL the actors, was off the charts. The OST is by far the most fitting and suitable to the plot and mood of the story compared to any other kdrama I've watched. I'm so emotionally moved, I keep on translating the dialogues in my mother tongue in my head to experience it better. Trut be told, instead of this long review, only three words would've sent the point across: guns, glory, sad-ending.

I am struck with awe with how beautiful this drama is. Now that's it's over, I don't know what to do with my life anymore. I watched it over a period of two days, staying awake till 6 am because that's how good it is. The actors perfectly reflect in their behaviour, looks, tone of speaking, how two people in love are. Every touch, action, and word, is portrayed and filmed with such subtlety and eye for detail, you'll be mesmerised just by how wonderful it is. Every scene was so well thought of and acted. There was no artificial air about the drama, just pure human feelings and interactions, complete rawness. What I loved most was how, they just let the characters be. That way it looked more natural, without that drama effect, to the point where it felt sometimes that I was peaking into their lives. Jun-hui was so selfless and giving in love. He showered Jin-a with love over and over till she overflowed with it. Jin-a, even though had slight tiny flaws, I came to love because of her persistence and her willingness to be there. She was so patient with everything, and that showed that she really has a lot of fight left in her even though the world brought her down. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart so I'm going to believe that Jun-hui and Jin-a are both living happily together. Her mother either gave up, or Jin-a stopped fighting and focused on what truly mattered to her: being with Jun-hui. To anyone wondering whether to watch this drama or not, I'll only say, please watch it. You'll feel a lot of things. And it'll be beautiful.
