Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream is worth the price of admission. This is King at his best weaving an intriguing tale with well illustrated characters that is great from start to finish.

First, I love King’s work but this was a slog. I think Holly is a great character but she didn’t feel like the character I thought I knew. I don’t want to spoil anything but some of the things she encounters she doesn’t behave the way she has in so many of her previous appearances. It reminded me of the last Dragon Tattoo movie where I didn’t recognize that character either. I eventually couldn’t finish it a few chapters from the end because I was just exasperated with how she thought and acted. The idea of this as a whole new character might have solved some of my issues.
