I don't usually write reviews but this time I felt like I had to. Without spoiling too much, this show was made for people with an open mind. Austin is a diverse area but an extremely segregated one as well. If you ask someone from there "Is Austin a progressive place?" They'll usually answer with, "Well, it's progressive for Texas." One of the problems people say of this show is that it's unrealistic. Which is true, not because of the emergencies or dangers in an everyday call, but because the place is "too diverse". On the show there's an interracial marriage, a gay man, a trans man, and a muslim woman. It is true that these are not common in Austin as they in places like San Francisco. I've heard a show not being diverse enough, but how are people gonna complain about a show with too much diversity? The disrespect and slurs are people are saying to the characters on the show are just absolutely disgusting. I thought we have gotten to a place where we were tolerant of each other. So in conclusion, watch it or don't, but if you do, have an open mind.
