Sophomoric, cheesy and saccharine. Made for teens and waaaay over-edited and over-produced. It should’ve stay with Brie and Samuel, that’s the good story line. I was drop-jawed by how bad it was and I went in expecting greatness.

Pretty fun for the most part! It starts to lose steam as it goes through its seasons. The cheese factor grows, the violins and emotions & tears grows… it started out so strong and turned into a teen drama. Great idea tho!

First of all, to do this film WITHOUT Laurence Fishbourne and Hugo Weaving is ridiculous. You add in Neil Patrick Harris as The Analyst vs that cold older guy who played him, instead?! Terrible casting. Secondly, way too many nods to the original trilogy. Just make a badass stand-alone film. Or a prequel. Who WAS Thomas Anderson before his computer woke him up?? It was all just so disappointing and I wanted to LOVE it.

It pains me to give it a less than stellar review, but my god what were they thinking?!? Starting again revisiting Thymescera as the same little girl? Bringing Steve Trevor back, for HALF the film? Kristen Wiig?? A huge fall from the greatness of the first.

I hate to say it, because I love science-fiction, space travel, aliens, first contact, all of that stuff, but this series is terrible. It’s obviously a vehicle for Katie, and she’s game enough, but my god it’s for 18-24 year olds. The crew is waaaay too young, completely unprofessional screaming & fighting with each other for a wildly important trip, they’ve cherrypicked the cast from every subgroup- Asian, black, trans, nerd, stud... it’s virtually unwatchable. Oh and as if the story isn’t fascinating enough, there’s entire episodes devoted to dream sequences & flashbacks that do NOT move the story forward at all. Just putting Katie in various outfits, wigs, make-up, who green-lit this project?!
