Surprisingly to me, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The pacing was perfect for me, a teenager who spends a fair amount of time playing video games and watching tik-tok. The story and characters were well written and visuals were amazing.
for real some of these people gotta chill with they attention spans like bruh can you not just enjoy the landscapes and try to look at every detail you possibly can? the camera is never fixated on one thing during this movie so take your time look at everything, notice how some of these boyos got wizard looking clothes on? notice how some of them got church stuff on, notice how when merlin does his little thing the lighting gets red signifying some sort of magic, notice how time is very fluid in this movie, and ill give you a godamn hint if you tryna watch the movie pay attention to how wet the windowsill is in the start of the film the near the end when they lady giving birth yeah? stuff like that man. notice how the when the witches cover they eyes to do magic and so on? and then we got people that got 10 phds in every topic imaginable saying "well i fink that this movie doesnt stay tru to tha whole concept of merlinism and arthurian high english" like come on now is it supposed to? "Oh you think im not cultured and smart enough to understand this movie look and all forty masters i have" they say. they act like this supposed to be a faithful retelling of the original story, it isnt, is it? If you watch the movie, and realize its not trying to retell the poem, not trying to be an action film, not trying to spoon feed you everything to help your smooth brain along with th film and pay attention to every minute detail and DONT enjoy it come over and, respectfully of course.
I dont think i got my point across, but this is my first review and ill try to work on it sometime.
