Please do not waste your time on this. You are much better off just watching a youtube video that explains all the facts and details about the Elisa Lam case. This documentary spent way too much time interviewing crazies with zero credibility who were creepily obsessed with Elisa Lam. These "internet sleuths" were more concerned about their own self-righteousness and wanting to be right about their own baseless conspiracy theories. It was absolutely ridiculous to see all these crazies who sat on their computer for days/hours and traveled to Hotel Cecil to conduct their own "investigation" because they thought they can do a better job than highly trained investigators, police, and doctors. In the end, these people ended up negatively affecting the lives of the Lam family, the falsely accused "murderer", and the whole LAPD. This show gave these conspiracy theorists way too much air time and it was exactly what they wanted. The only good part of this show were the police/investigators, the coroner, and the neuropsychologist.
The only information that the viewer needed to know can be said in one sentence: "the water tank lid was open when she was found." After hearing that, this show could have been over in 30 minutes, not 4 hours.
If the purpose of this show is to shed light on mental health illness, they did an absolutely terrible job. Elisa Lam was a victim of a chronic and debilitating mental illness yet the whole show just focused on conspiracy theories.
