I understand both the 5* and 1* reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and so am giving it 4 stars. I’ve also been to quite a few cirque shows - maybe 6, but this is the first in many years. It definitely does lack the same mind-blowing, unique acrobatics that you find hard to believe are possible. But they’re still impressive and they put them together in an incredibly entertaining way. My loss of a star is the comparison to other cirque shows …and do understand why for some that’s a serious reduction - it is a very significant lower level. Still at least 4*, because if you’re not comparing the technical acrobatics to previous shows, I don’t get why you wouldn’t have enjoyed it. 1* is for painful/walkout - surely nobody did that! Sure, there are some bad clown bits that I don’t enjoy, but I never have and it’s just part of the circus. Overall has still always been great to exceptional

Wow is that a bad film. I was going to call it shockingly bad but I've just seen it's a "Sky Original" - so maybe that explains it (my experience suggests I avoid those). Like many of the reviewers, I like Liam Neeson and am a fan of him in this genre but unlike many, I thought he put in a pretty poor performance. Maybe it's just because everything he had to work with was so poor? Production level is fine but the writing, acting and directing really are not. It may be worth watching up until the first couple of fight scenes, just to experience the fight choreography - that's done by a "professional"? All in all, it feels like the quality of some random school being given a production crew, big budget and the requirement to come up with a film within maybe a week!
