I was completely naïve to the context of this movie and I'm far from a critic. I recognized most of the actors by face but not by name, never read the book and I watch movies based on the trailer or the preview intel. So with that being said, I am probably part of a sliver of the audience and will be socially shamed by online haters for even thinking I should be giving a review.
As all people are entitled to an opinion; here's mine.
This film is a story unfolding without being told what to think.
The scenery and sets are typical for the time period and each scene was a perfect fit for the dialog. The actors portrayal of human fragilities and curiosities; especially the most internal and painful, was performed so well it's impossible to not feel the emotion. I was on a roller coaster of anger, love, hatred, loneliness, revenge, curiosity and vindication.
Such is the conundrum of human nature... so BRAVO!
