I’m only 30% through and came here to check on the reviews because I was feeling insane. We are still in the FIRST SCENE IN EVERY PLOY LINE! I’m bored and wondering if I should even finish the book. AND the VIOLENCE & TORTURE feel extremely elevated and gratuitous up to this point. Almost all the relationships have had no development in fact. Bryce seems highly out of character. I’ve read all of Sarah’s other books and this feels like exactly the same doom loop that the throne series went through. SIGH. Is Sarah J Maas The new, George RR Martin? Dragging us through thick books and not delivering in the end?
