This is by far the best show Netflix released this year. The casting is on point, teenagers actually look like teenagers and the chemistry is unreal! The plot itself is wonderful and really interesting. Recently I got so tired from watching all of these heavy shows based on murder and crime, I just wanted something heartwarming and beautiful, yet exciting. Then I came across Young Royals. The characters and different and unique. Omar and Edvin have such chemistry in and out of character, it’s amazing. There’s a great representation of neurodiversity too. It’s not overly sexualised and focused on the feelings of each character, on what they’re going through. It actually makes you feel connected to them. Easily became my comfort show. This is a series with a positive influence and realistic stories. It’s incredible and deserves a season 2. Absolutely.
