This movie is very polarizing. I think it depends on whether or not you like convoluted plots. At some points it feels like it's trying to be too many things at once. The plot twist is one that enters your head the second you hear that there's aliens involved, however the entire movie you see things that make you think "maybe it's not that?" Until the big smash at the end. I think that if Damon had been initially telling the truth and they had only been shortly abducted, and returned with alien bits, more could be explored there, something like alien-hybrid superheroes in a sequel.
