if you google it, you will think me ridiculous for recommending this show. Nothing about this show should work, but it all comes together marvelously.
The only way I can describe it is "utterly charming". This is also a way I've described another Apple+ series "Central Park". Along with "Mythic Quest", Apple+ seems to be looking to corner the delightful comedy market.
I challenge you to get through a few episodes of this show and remain skeptical. The really cool thing is that the main character of the show pulls the audience through the exact same journey he's pulling the rest of the characters into in the story. I love dark stories about broken people - drama or comedy. So me buying into a show with a positive outlook is not what I thought I'd be into. But it somehow walks the line without tipping into schmaltz and really made me feel better about things. And it's pretty funny as well.
I've heard "Ted Lasso" described as "the show the country needs". And after binging the series, I can't argue with that.
