this film is expressive of true nature in humanbeings whether teenager or adult . that it ends this tragic way is more or less harsh ending, , unexpected betrayal of her old love , this teenager now grown up to be a remarkable lawyer who could , and so we expected , show the truth of her innocence but he hesitated and did not , moreover , she could not feel ability to adapt herself to a new life so out of such feeling she unfortunately put a ragic end to her life .

i watch this old film every day with much pleasure never annoyed i love the performance of both and the other italians taking part with their spontanious reactions . lovely film
