The movie is definitely on a sensitive topic and it brings in awareness to yet another social problem that has ruined the lives of quite a number of girls in India.
But the attraction for which the viewers must go and watch the movie begins and ends there.
It has nothing to make us sit and want to watch the whole movie at a stretch.. it seems like a documentary movie on acid attack survivers and it shows emotional moments that an attacker goes through in different scenes which are not well edited/ showcased in the movie. The director could not help us connect with the actors and you don't even feel sad for the victims because it's just not well directed.
Moreover, Deepiks's acting was very poor. She acted like a fresher and there are moments where you just feel that she is there only to complete the scene and not feeling those emotions.. she is too glamorous and has become a superstar to pull off a role like this! Despite having an actress like Deepika, the movie was of the same quality as the new movie "acid" !
All in all the movie is not worth spending your money and going to a cinema hall - you rather wait for it to come on TV or Netflix!!
After Raazi we were expecting a lot from Megha Gulzaar in this movie and it was definitely very disappointing!
