Juju Bean

I was so excited to see this movie but it was about as good as the YSL story which is to say be prepared to leave somewhat depressed. or gloomy. I didn't get the directors thoughts that Felicia and Lenny were equal partners. Clearly they were not! It seems to have a bias presentation. I always loved Lenard Bernstein and grew up watching his educational show for children. For women it seems a roll back "stand by your man" stand by his cheating, stand by his alcohol and drug addictions stand by his affairs and for what? Wait for it The Love of your life! I do not want my grand daughters seeing this type of movie the type that show women have to compromise then come to their senses for loves sake.

The music conducted by Gustav Dudamel is the shining star of this movie. West Side Story is portrayed in an Opera like setting choreographed with a series of new talent and some old like Rita Moreno from the original cast.But it is the music that translates the feelings of the characters and immigration integration in America.

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this movie. The compare and contrast. The opera qualities. It is a artistically crafted narrative entertaining and unique.
