John Cawley

A quietly stunning film which I loved. Visually, the film is beautifully shot and the special effects are state of the art. The parallel narratives complement the emotional resonance of the film. The little girl is brilliant and Clooney is superb both in front of and behind the camera. What some reviewers found lacking in the narrative in terms of pace and emotional impact, I found created a sense of loss. I loved it in all its muted, understated glory.
