Great scenes but a bit underwhelming overall. The first half or two thirds are rather slow as the story drags on. The characters lack their original sharpness as their behavior and appearance have changed due to their post-apocalyptic lifestyles. Don’t get me wrong, the film is great (esp. the picture) but I couldn’t really put my finger on it. Understand, with so many things happening it’s difficult to keep the storyline cohesive and clear. Some characters get a lot of screen time, while others appear almost gimmicky. Again, don’t get me wrong, it’s an epic production with a great fight scene towards the end. But if you are expecting an action filled Marvel movie (comparing previous MCU films) you may be a bit disappointed. This film clearly plays more on the “human” side of the various heroes, their feelings and struggles rather than portraying them as the invincible bunch we know. Overall I’d give it a 9/10 for the picture, 7/10 overall. But as everything - it’s about taste and taste is subjective.
