The movie Bala has a very important message. It talks about self-love and self-acceptance. We often understand this life mantra way too late in life.I have myself struggled with self-love at a time when I used to feel I am too thin, skinny and unlikeable. There are innumerable people in life to make you keep feeling like that. But it's not the people who change, you change. You accept yourself with every single flaw that you have. You wake up in the morning and tell yourself that you are amazing, you are the best. That's the most important love: Self-love.
Another crucial aspect it puts light on is that you can never force someone to love/like you. Either they do or they don't. What is the point of a love that you have acquired by forcing them or making them feel guilty to not like you?
The crux of it lies in the line as she says at the end, if you can't accept yourself how can you expect it from me?!
If you don't value/love yourself, why would others?
