I love love love Family Feud but Steve, PLEASE QUIT PULLING ON THE MEN’s JACKETS AND PUNCHING THEM IN THE ARM!!!!!! It is soooo irritating to watch! Also, this show is supposed to be for families but it can be super vulgar. You need to stop that.

I am watching an old rerun about an 8yr. Old boy named Gage who is violent and filthy mouthed and has the propensity for extreme violence not only to his mother who he kicks, punches, bites, etc. but also to the children and teachers at school. He has even spoken about wanting their death. The step-father of Gage has chosen spanking on the behind as one form of punishment amongst many others, all of which don’t work. You told him he needed to immediately stop the corporal punishment but as a Christian man, not just a doctor, how can you refuse to support the Bible in Proverbs where we are told to spare the rod is to spoil the child. And the step-father gently spanked is behind 4 times. Your reply was that he was embarrassed and ran into another room. He should be embarrassed by that type behavior and as a Christian you know that the Bible is always right. I’m not saying this boy doesn’t have some mental issues that need to be examined, but sparing the rod should not be discarded. A child can be spanked by a loving parent and I would say most of the time that is the case. I know this child should now be about 16. I would like to know how he is doing now. A lot of you doctors. And you seem to be one of them have come to believe that this scripture and others have no place in today’s world but I know you know that God’s word is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God did not set up rules that would only work at a certain time. His word is always his word no matter who thinks it’s no longer relevant. Don’t compromise the Bible Dr. Phil. I really really like you and your show but when you take God out of anything, you’re wrong. Please let us know what became of this young boy.
