I really enjoyed this book, but I kept being distracted by incorrect details.
Transistor radios were mentioned numerous times in parts of the book set in 1938. Transistors radios had not yet been invented at that time; they were developed in the 1950s.
At one point a character was leaving to catch a 4:00am train and the author described the sunrise.
A recipe a character was following said to put flour, sugar and eggs together and then sift it.
The writer was great, the editor wasn't!
