A film about (male) friendship and alcohol - both its positive and negative affects. A very interesting and intellectual film which leaves one wondering about the nature of character. The film is, however, a bit bitty in places ie some scenes don’t flow or don’t quite work - but otherwise an indie film for the intelligentsia

Extraordinary film seen through the eyes of a person with dementia. Hopkins is superb.

There is something fundamentally at odds in this film - which is a revenge comedy about rape which at no point rings true. Perhaps it is because the person seeking revenge is not the person who was raped and therefore has no knowledge or understanding of the real effect. Its an insult not only to victims of sexual abuse but also to female writers. And the ending is just bizarre. As for the defence lawyer with regrets ... it’s as unbelievable a character as any film can ever get... a lawyer with regrets! Hahahahah - And that bit was supposed to be serious. For any woman that has actually been raped this film is deeply troubling and insulting

Totally absurd plot - somewhat predictable ending in that, with all the twists and turns you could work out where it was going. Terrible script. Acting mediocre.
