can appreciate the music and how pretty the set was, but that's it. the way they delivered the message 'loyal brave true' is so clumsily done, at some point is so ridiculous it's bordering stupid. The part where she owns up to be a girl, she took off her armour? N when she let her hair down, other ppl from far can identify her as a woman? when everyone, male or female, have long hair? That's just plain stupid. There's a whole twitter thread and youtube vids about what went wrong in mulan from a cultural point of view and how it could have been fixed by Xiran Jay Zhao, watch it. Those who did enjoy the movie obviously are entitled to their own opinions, but only AFTER they understand it is whitewashed, and NOT A MULAN STORY. Disney botched it in the cultural aspect, and made a lot of people upset, just understand why people are upset and dont reduce these complaints to 'u dont understand it' or 'its just a movie'. You can enjoy these movie without discounting other people's complaints.
