Have just seen the cover and a couple of pages and I'm aghast. This illustrations seem like something of the eastern Mediterranean..NOTHING to do with taíno culture, ethnicity, symbols, etc. The illustrator did not even try to connect with the background of Antillean flora and fauna. Why do Americans insist on demanding respect for diversity, minorities, different cultures and ethnicities in their own country but feel that they can represent the rest of the World as they choose? Baffled in Puerto Rico...
