The cover just pulls you in already. When you load the game, it gives this chilling music, and gives you a picture of a time like the lord of the rings or if you have played the other elder scrolls games it will remind you of Morrowind immediately. Starting off in a carriage with a horse thief, a stormcloak named Gunjar, and its leader himself, Ulfric Stormcloak. Taken by the Imperials, you are headed for an execution at Helgen. Once your carriage gets there, Hadvar, an imperial soldier, reads the list. He realizes that you aren't on the list. General Tulius, the leader of the Imperials, orders that you are still to be executed anyway. Right this moment, is where your immagination comes in. You choose your character, how you want yourself to look like. From race to the color of you nose, it's all your choice! Once you choose your apearance, you watch one head get chopped off. You're next, and Leggate Rikke orders you to get to the block. She pushes you over and you can see the executioner right in front of you. Suddenly, you hear a roar. General Tulius orders to stay focused. Right as the executioner lifts up his axe, the legendary dragon Alduin comes and lands on the tower behind him. He uses his power to attack everyone. This is where it's all up to you. Whether you follow Gunjar or Hadvar to escape Helgen from this monster, whether you fight for the Rebels or the Empire, whether you choose a bow or sword, it's your job to defend Skyrim and her people.
