I can see now why this didn’t make it to theaters. It’s not terrible - it’s just not great. I love vampires and I love Steven King… so that was the saving grace for me.

I loved it. It stayed true to the original, used real props and movie sets, had the original actors, and the music was composed by Danny Elfman (same as original) who I love. I'll admit the beginning was a little slow but it picked up. It's really good.

Has Hollywood forgotten how to make good movies? Candy Cane Lane made no sense at all. The plot was boring, the comedy wasn’t funny, the set design looked fake, and Pepper the Elf wasn’t a - you know - elf. This is coming from a long time Eddie Murphy fan. This wasn’t your fault. We still love you. Hollywood is just too focused on diversity placement and forgot how to actually produce a film.

Here's the honest review you were looking for. This was a 2-star movie at best. The acting was decent in some parts but mostly awkward, and flat. The plot made no sense at all. It seemed like it was making itself up as it went. The movie was way too long and seemed to drag on. There were some funny parts but overall this movie was kinda bad.

First of all, let me say that I love Indiana Jones, and giving this movie anything but a solid 5-stars is hard. However, while the movie was decent, it just didn't hit the spot. They got carried away with the car chases and action scenes and sort of forgot everything else. It lacked mystery and Indiana just seemed depressed for half of the movie. It's a movie that is decent as an Indiana Jones, relying heavily on nostalgia, but bad as a movie standing on its own. However, Harrison Ford was incredible as always.

The acting is bad. The writing is bad. It's unbelievably cringy and overacted. The general plot feels forced and unbelievable. It didn't even feel like the 90's. It's like they just slapped in some Avril Lavigne and took all their 90's research from that.

This movie wasn't really scary and it wasn't really mysterious; it was just depressing and disturbing (and not in a good way). The acting was questionable. The main family had a German sounding Mom, a Spanish sounding Dad, and two British sounding children. Many parts of the plot also seemed forced and didn't flow naturally; they were just put in for the shock value. Overall I found the movie uncomfortable and depressing. I wouldn't recommend it or see it again.
