sighs... where to start? The game as a whole is... ok... but the main thing about any game is the storyline. This game destroys the character development and storyline from the first. I was a big fan of ND with Uncharted and TLOU being my favourite plays of all time. This is not the same with the second; I'm still unsure as to why they killed almost, arguably every key male character in the game, and left us with the second most important male character damaged. The other only surviving males are a baby and a female, who I think is male now... (idek) And trust me I'm not against females, I loved every female from Uncharted and even played 'Lost Legacy'. Having TLOU2 led by women was great, but the storyline was terrible. And it's sad because it was the first of its kind to have a strong female protagonist. They tricked their consumers into purchasing the game through false advertisement (check the trailer) The characters are confusing, I personally think Neil himself and the other co-writer are also confused; I believe they wouldn't be able to tell me about the personalities of the characters if I asked them. Realistically, they are forcing controversial, contentious narratives and political topics towards the players, almost compelling them to believe in their ideologies - like they don't know their gamers? or market? It feels as though the writers and director took growing, I guess trendy, controversial topics around the world, forcefully implementing them into a story, which doesn't work. It seems coercive; A SJW act? Honestly, the more I type, the more pointless this is as nothing will change, you can't go back; and again, we who dislike are just going to have to accept (which we shouldn't) I'm just disappointed, like really, seriously disappointed, mainly in the storyline and character development. The company and director, who had respect from me because of the first game, failed and lost a sincere, loving customer of TLOU. If you have time to waste or haven't played the 1st game, I guess give it a try, the graphics are good. DONT focus on the story. If you haven't played the first, trust me, it is a must-play.
