The reviews presented below were also in my thoughts prior to my participation last year. I was provided with an extensive list of required documents and informed that I would be notified within 15 days if any documents were missing.
Up until the announcement of the results, none of the missing documents were identified by the organization. On the day the results were released, I was informed of my rejection. While the rejection itself does not concern me, as it is a component of the learning experience, I was troubled by the lack of communication on their part regarding the missing documents. Had I been informed in a timely manner, I could have rectified the issues and submitted the necessary documents.
This experience felt futile, and I would advise all participants to ensure that their documents are thoroughly reviewed and to obtain a confirmation email from them. This way, the decision regarding acceptance or rejection will be based on merit rather than a last-minute review of the document packet.
