Actual enjoyable story and cutscenes. Each character has dynamic playstyles. You don't really experience a diversity of single character playstyles until chapter 5 (there's only 7, with 6 being the ending chapter) when gear dynamically changes effects. The gear is closer to destiny 2 in terms of builds go. The passive trees just further push you in that direction. Even though it's set in the arkham verse... from the 1st hour of gameplay it's clear arkham is more inspiration than backbone. It's clearly AN ALTERNATE timeline which the game will even explain that to you, so take every event that happens in arkham as something solely for batmans background. It'll enhance the moment when you run into it. Great game, but not g.o.a.t. status. The team does not disappoint with story and moments.

I give it 3 stars PURELY out of the gameplay mechanics and world. The attention to detail, combat, movement. It's great. There are times when the camera occasionally mistracts or loses enemies. Mechanics which should be present in an action game such as dodge canceling or just dodging in general will hang up and you will end up taking hits. It's not common, it's every once in a while. The story... it's not strong tbh. As much as they try to make the lead human, the further along in the story you get, the least likely human reaction you get from the character. To the point where you will dislike her. The surrounding cast is great, and it's what kept me playing. Overall: play it because it's fun, not for the story.

As movie on it's own. It even breaks it's own rules and lore. If it was to go into the video game lore as even an "inspired by"... it is grossly FAR OFF. The amount of cinema sins are outstanding. If you were to turn your brain off just to try to enjoy the fights, the cuts from swing to impact are so noticeable even the fights as a martial arts film can't be enjoyed. I wanted so much to just find a few things to just enjoy and have fun with. A very few lines are entertaining to a degree because of it's connection to humor. Explanations of how things work in the very next seconds are proven untrue as it's immediately broken. If you have never played the games, or don't know anything about the games. DO NOT take this movie as any information about characters. It is far off as the information that is provided.
