Epic DC goodness with compelling, character-driven takes on classic comicbook heroes coming together. Batman is on a path to redemption. Wonder Woman leads them all while feeling the call to go back home. Aquaman is the hero who pretends he doesn't have a soft side. Cyborg has always helped but now feels isolated from his life as a former quadriplegic. The Flash is trying to find his footing. And then there's Superman. I don't know what the studio was thinking, releasing that *other* version.

One of the most underrated films of our time, only it features comic book superheroes. Criticized for being dark when the ending is about hope even when you think all is lost, because Men Are Still Good. An incredible story for our times

A solid sequel despite a lesser emphasis on revolutionizing action scenes like the previous films had done. For better or worse, story matters more here.

What appears as a waifu-style action film of girls with issues, is upon reflection an unsettling portrayal of sexual objectification. This film was never meant to be comforting. 4.5/5
