Devoured this fabulous book in one day. It is absolutely great. Evelyn is so compelling and multi-faceted, and I couldn’t help but feel an urge to Google her throughout the novel. Of course, I then realised, she does not actually exist. How the author managed to create such an iconic character is beyond me. But I am incredibly grateful to have had the pleasure of reading about her life. This book needs to become a movie. I cannot wait to see the ensuing casting choices!!
