A nice watch overall, an exploration of loss, grief, love, parenthood, faith. All is a bit cliche, no revelations there or anything, but I don't think they were actually trying to make any. When I turned it on I was expecting myself to get bored after a couple episodes but surprisingly I finished the whole series without trouble. The acting and the London scenery made it worthwhile for me. Loved how Ben and his mom relationships were portrayed, but Emma's character a bit too bland imo.

absolute jam of a show! couldn't wait for the evening to come to watch another episode. a story masterfully crafted and - what we don't get to see very often these days - wrapped up so well. the last episode took me on such a roller-coaster of emotions, definitely one of those series that stays with you for a while.

The show is definitely worth a watch - it is unusual, intriguing, has good plot twists, the storytelling is labyrinthy (let just hope the writers know what they are doing with all of that). What I couldn't understand is why the characters have to talk in this dramatically rueful way. Do they think they are in a Shakespearean play or something?

What a treat! I loved this so much! I have a bad habit of dropping bl dramas midway when I lose interest. This is the first one I have successfully completed. And not only that, I have binged it in one sitting - well past my bedtime - and came here right away to write this comment. The story is well written, the characters are intriguing and easy to get invested in, the enemies to lovers trope is scrumptious🍪☕️, the acting is immaculate, the story feels authentic and tangible, the length of episodes is just right. And I haven't cringed even once, which is so unlike me. I have nothing but praise honestly.

Why doesn't this show have a higher rating? It's such a jam! This was like a gift made specifically for me. Exactly the kind of show I knew I needed. I v watched and rewatched everything that there is about pirates - my "pirate phase" has apparently never ended, but this has immediately become my favorite. Historical comedies are the best! If you love Norsemen and What we do in the shadows you will enjoy this. And honestly I think its impossible to not enjoy something that has Taika Waititi in it

This is so nicely done. The story, the characters, the scenery, the dialogue, the actors - everything is amazing. And it is thoroughly researched -they've nailed the 70s-80s USSR atmosphere, the background conversations in Russian, the details, the accents. It's never that accurate. At least in my experience with movies made for English speaking audience. I don't cry often. But this movie made me feel too many emotions. By the end of it I was swimming in my own tears.
