Best romance book I’ve ever read. I felt like I truly knew the characters and nothing was rushed, you understand why they like eachother

Read slowly and consume it all and you’ll find enjoyment in this book. There is a lack of plot and main conflict and that is what is stopping this book from being truly world changing spectacular. The worse thing is that this had so much potential, maybe in a different life. I still loved it, it was fascinating. Some things are hard to understand if you read to quickly so take it all in in digestible pieces and don’t be afraid to take a break because it’s a lot. With that being said it would’ve been more digestible if there were more action and maybe fighting with the powers and I really wanted to see some abilities come together into some epic scene idk. But there’s still another book and I’m looking forward to more.

TOO GOOD! She’s just the best author ever. the only thing i recommend is that there be more context. but with that being said i also i didnt realize until the end of the book that the societies are all summarized in the back for you to refer to so just remember that. could be a bit more suprising. i loved the world loved alex and despite darlington being missing i loved him too.

Boring. Bland characters, boring plot. Terrible plot twist. Too much politics. Don’t purchase this.

Not a chaotic story but it’s nice and refreshing to see character development executed so breathtakingly.

I have to say I expected a lot more from this book. I felt that there were way too many details and it was a bit slow especially for something that’s supposed to be a mystery/thriller. However I managed to get through it. Even though absolutely none of the “plot twists” were surprising I still was intrigued as to how it all came together and it did leave me feeling some emotion at the end. All in all she is certainly a talented author and I hope she learns from the downfalls of this book.
