i knew when this album first came out that i would only enjoy it about a year later, like with some of his his other albums. 808s, yeezus, now jesus is king; all albums with a unique and previously unused (by a world hip hop star) style of production. the other two albums have been a massive influence on hip hop for multiple years past it, so i wonder if this album will be a similar influence on hip hop in years to come. gospel music isnt really for me, but the way it can be incorporated into a hip hop album - with arguably the greatest producer - so fluidly is a testament to kanyes genius. i still wouldnt put most songs into a daily playlist but it is now a great time to listen to it through. i imagine for the ultra christian hip hop fans out there this is their mbdtf.
