The reason I felt this movie was a let down is because I expect every director to have his own voice, his own style and to be an auteur but here it just seams like Todd Philips is doing a Martin Scorsese impression. There's nothing wrong with being inspired by another film maker but theres a point where it stops being Inspired and becomes a copy, and Joker feels like a copy. That being said it was a good film, Joaquin Phoenix's performance is the best part of the movie and I truly think he should at least get nominated for an Oscar, he's the only thing about the film Oscar worthy.
