I wanted to like this movie, but I didn't. From the inconsistent pacing to the bad humor that movies these days just love to have because funny. it felt rushed, cramped, and thrown together. The action sequences looked as though they just sped up the animations, like a four minute long fight was sped up to fit in a two minute window. the way Kong, Godzilla especially felt so unnatural, the way they moved and how quickly they were able to move just took you out of the immersion. It basically felt like they ignored their anatomy to make them do triple backflips (they don't actually do that in the movie, but they basically moved around and got thrown around as though they were weightless.) And worst of all there was absolutely no self reflection at any point in this movie. no mystery, no lore, nothing, anything new they introduced they quickly explained away with their "conveniently" capable technology
