Recently watched this on a streaming platform at home. I enjoyed the movie and found it very engaging and interesting. It’s good because it’s family friendly for 10+ in my opinion. The themes were good and enjoyable but not overly dark or light. Definitely not near a 5 star movie and I’m grateful I waited to watch it at home and not at the movies.

Let me start by saying I’ve not read the books. You shouldn’t need to to understand and enjoy a movie. The movie feels rushed and forced, almost like you’re expected to have read the book before watching. The acting was very, very substandard. The story line was very plain and the movie itself, for me, was pretty poor. My wife has read the book and we watched the movie together… she loved the book… doesn’t like the movie!!!

It’s largely very, very childish. From the very first episode. There is a little woke-ness which is fine but it’s exceptionally forced. There is a romance in the beginning that is also forced and it makes zero sense. Then for some unknown reason they’re willing to risk lives but one of them doesn’t even know the others name. Unfortunately it doesn’t get better as the season goes on. For some reason they make bad decision after bad decision after bad decision. They even introduce characters only to kill them off within 10minutes. It feels like a massive waste of time even having them there. Bear in mind the demographic it’s aimed at. It’s aimed at 15 year olds I would expect. The dialogue is cheesy and aimless mostly. The characters and their personalities are very incredibly juvenile. Some are far worse than others but they’re all poorly written. Disney have once again ruined what could have been a great story.

Predictable, unrealistic and at times rediculous. From the beginning it vegans slow enough but I get it was implementing some character development. Although the first stage was slow it was still rushed. Many eye roll moments throughout. I am watching in 2022 and it was made in 2006. I feel like movies are a little more realistic nowadays. Overall the acting is good but the script is a killer and destroys the movie. There’s a part where the main protagonists are trying to stall the people following to which the main antagonist say “I don’t help, I’m the bad guy” Not long after there’s a crash and the scripting is shocking! Watch if you enjoy rubbish movies, or have nothing else to pick.

It was very ‘schtick’ It’s a movie that doesn’t take itself seriously. It can be a good thing, likely a great thing for most but for me I didn’t like how light hearted it was. It made the movie not very enjoyable unfortunately. It’s likely aimed mostly at children, which I think they nailed it! This opinion is also shared by my wife.

It's very warm and odd. A good movie that, although enjoyable, could definitely be about 30-40minutes shorter. It's a good positive movie that has a good message with a great cast. Original songs and cast were pretty good. It's a Christmas movie but there is not much mention or storyline in relation to Christmas. However, far too many musical scenes that are drawn out far longer than they need to make the movie a little boring. There is very little to no character development instead they just sing and dance. Watched it with my wife who liked it more than I did and my 12yo daughter who thought the same of it as me. Watch it because its Christmas and everyone loves X mas movies but this one goes for 2 Hours!
